After a year and a half of operating without volunteer support, we are ready to welcome new and former volunteers back on site at our Philadelphia and Lansdowne locations. Safety remains our top priority. All in-person volunteers will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (i.e. digital or paper record) during their first shift or orientation. The Wardrobe will not keep copies of these records.
We have volunteer opportunities available Monday-Friday 10am-5pm for individuals and groups of up to 5 people. At this time, we cannot accommodate larger groups but you may block multiple shifts throughout the day to rotate new volunteers in (5 people volunteer from 12-2pm, 5 new volunteers replace them from 2-4pm, etc.)
Are you a program volunteer who has attended training? Sign up for a shift by emailing LeTonya!
2 hour shifts available Monday-Friday 11am-5pm in Philadelphia and 10am-5pm in Lansdowne
No Training Required
Help us sort through donations to find the very best to fill our stores and outfit our clients! Volunteer shifts will begin with a brief overview of The Wardrobe and training on the inventory processing needed at that time, i.e. sorting incoming donations, processing selected clothing for the floor, merchandising donations. Volunteer training is NOT required for these shifts, but all volunteers must show proof of vaccination at their first shift.
Once a month on Zoom. Visit the RSVP page for dates and details
If you are available to volunteer regularly, we encourage you to consider becoming a Program Services Volunteer. These volunteers work one-on-one with our clients to select clothing and assist with merchandising and store operations. The training will include information about The Wardrobe as well as: the clients we serve, the importance of clothing, how to conduct a client appointment, and volunteer expectations and process. Information on how to sign up will be provided at the end of the training.
